The tugboat named "Ama diver" is actually " miss Yvette "  tugboat that was builted in 1973 in New Orleans. Today works at the ports between New York and Boston. Due to its bright red color, it reminded me of the japanese temples, so I chose for its crew the japanese pearl fishers "Ama". Those impressive brave women where diving only with then breath at the Izu peninsula until the mid 60's. 

Sunny is actually the tugboat "Kimberly Anne". It was built in 1965 in Houma, LA by Main Iron Works as the Lady Lisa for Sandbar II Inc. She was later sold to Bucktown Barges Inc. and renamed Lucy. Alexis Marine LLC eventually purchased the tug, and renamed her Miss Alma. In 2012, the Miss Alma was purchased by Dean Marine & Excavating of Mount Clemens, MI, who brought her to the Great Lakes and renamed her Kimberly Anne. She is active on various contracting projects around the lakes. At the captain's cockpit I have placed Marvin Gaye, from his lovely song, sunny.

A very common name for a tugboat both in Greece and abroad. The original boat is called "Pacific Mariner", works in Vancouver, Canada, is 25 meters and was built in 1966. The birds are all pelicans, there are many of them in Vancouver.  There are some small symbolisms from the history of Cerberus and the underworld such as the name of the tender boat (Hades) with the man with the anorak and the hook
